2.  Those of you looking for a side dish your entire family, including your adorable 10 month old baby or sweet great grandma who may both be short in the teeth department, will eat.

ooey gooey peanut buttery brownies.

These brownies were simply amazing…

I served them with ultra rich vanilla bean ice cream.  Shame on me.

cilantro lime brown rice.

7 random things to do while waiting for rice to cook:

1.  Call your grandma.

2.  Sort though an unorganized drawer in your kitchen and find some really cool gadgets you haven’t used in years.

3.  Uncork a bottle of Ste. Chateau Michelle Chardonnay.  Good stuff.

Maybe you would consider my offer more seriously after you make these scones and they fill your home with their heavenly aroma.

scrambled eggs with goat cheese.

Some nights I’m too tired and cranky to put together a full meal so on those nights I often opt for breakfast for dinner.

Or Brinner.

Backwards breakfast.

Whatever.

It’s easy and good and always fun for the kiddos. Read more

lentil and goat cheese tostadas.

I have a calorie hangover.

Let’s move on then to lentils.  Quite the antithesis to the aforementioned items. Read more
