Happy Mother’s Day weekend!

Any plans?

Are you a fight the crowds for brunch kind of mama or do you prefer a low-key meal at home, cooked (and cleaned!) by the family so you’re sure everyone knows exactly how hard you work the other 364 days of the year??

Andrew and I perfected Mother’s Day early…on my first Mother’s Day poor Andrew took cues from my disdain for Valentines Day and thought he’d skip all the Hallmarky Mother’s Day stuff.  Except that I was a brand-new mother and therefore suddenly cared about Hallmark-created holidays, especially when they honored all MY hard work and sacrifice.  So after a bit of a rocky start I’m happy to report we’ve got a nice little tradition down now where we go out for brunch on Saturday and celebrate with a lunch in (I get to cook while Andrew entertains the kiddos…heaven!) on Sunday.  And there you go…Mama’s Day Hartman style.
