These 6 meals have not a hint of gluten in them, and you and your family can dine like the GF rock stars you are for less than $50, for 6 complete meals.

Dinner #1:

Cashew Chicken Curry

Prep and Cooking Time:  35 minutes

Total:  $7.49 for the curry


Dinner #2:

Grilled Chops with Peach and Red Onion Relish + a side salad

Prep and Cooking Time:  30 minutes

Total:  $7.55 for the chops + estimated $2.00 for the salad or veggie

Dinner #3:

Italian Sausage and Peppers on Asiago Polenta

Prep and Cooking Time:  35 minutes

Total:  $8.17 for the sausage, peppers and polenta


Dinner #4:

Potato and Rosemary Frittata with Feta + seasonal fruit

Prep and Cooking Time:  15 minutes

Total:  $2.55 for the frittata + estimated $2.00 for the fruit

Dinner #5: 

Grilled Lime Chicken with Garlic Black Bean Sauce + side salad

Prep and Cooking Time:  3 hours, 45 minutes (most of that marinating and black bean simmering)

Total:  $5.60 for the chicken + estimated $2.00 for the salad


Dinner #6:

Chicken, Apple and Goat Cheese Salad with Toasted Walnuts

Prep and Cooking Time:  25 minutes

Total:  $7.18 for the salad


Total for 6 nights of gluten-free dinners:  $44.54!  That’s about $1.85 per serving!

Shopping List:

Meat and Seafood

  • 5 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 4 pork chops (about 8-10 ounces each)
  • 1 pound italian sausage (I prefer chicken sausage)

Produce/Herbs

  • 2 onions
  • 11 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger
  • 1 1/4 cups chopped cilantro
  • 2 shallots
  • 1 granny smith apple
  • 2 heads of lettuce
  • lemon
  • 2 red onions
  • 2 peaches
  • limes
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 3 tablespoons fresh rosemary
  • 1 russet potato
  • seasonal fruit (to accompany frittata)

Pantry

  • 3 tablespoons curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup cashews
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • 1 (15 ounce) can black beans
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • tortillas, salsa and guac (for chicken with black bean sauce, if desired)

Dairy/Eggs

  • 3/4 cup yogurt
  • 2 ounces goat cheese
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup asiago cheese
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese
  • 6 eggs

    Love this Gluten Free menu plan!!!! We recently determined my daughter has Celiac Disease which has been a big switch for this pasta loving family. Thank you for so many wonderful options. Your recipes have been a big hit with both my wallet and my family.
